A Touch of Smoke

Unread postby NewLine » Fri Oct 10, 2014 7:24 am

Last weekend I smoked some malt (hmmm is this correct English - sounds to me like I inhaled the malt), this weekend I want to brew with it, and use a little bit of my garden hops.
The smokey taste should be very subtle. I hope this recipe will work out fine.

Smoked the malt myself using recycled appletrees (www.haspenwood.com)

Tettnanger hop is fresh, so actually use 2x 30g

I smoked pilsner, for some reason I thought it would be more open to accepting the smoke flavour.
