Split Batch - Lager -Ale

To kill a number of various birds with one stone I am looking to do a split batch to fill a 19 Litre corny and a 9 Litres corny. The idea would would to make a strong IPA circa 7% with half the wort and closer to 16 litres of 4.5% lager/pils by topping up the other half.

Will ad most hops in the whirlpool after the split but maybe a little magnum at 60mins.

as i see it choice are
American IPA and German PIls, using 100% pilsner malt

Sassion and Pilsner using 100% maris otter

Vienna Lager and Vienna IPA.

thoughts anyone?
