Brewdog book "Craft beer for the people."

Unread postby Bigstew » Mon Feb 05, 2018 8:58 pm

Got this blighter for xmas. Made the gamma Ray clone as listed in the said book and its a belter. Only had two weeks conditioning in the keg but its very close. Malt taste is low but I believe that is down to the optimistic level of the grain bill, I took the decision to keep with the recipe as printed and not mess about with it. It is a lot closer than some of the DIY dog recipes I have tried. Anyone else tried this or anything else from the book?

This book arrived yesterday. As a home brew book initial thoughts were that it was a bit disappointing i thought there would be many more tips, insights and recipes. it seems almost aimed at drinkers as much as brewers.

That said, given the feedback back here i will give a couple of the recipes a go.

ive previously done the 5am saint from a brew dog ingredient pack. It was decent enough after a few months conditioning but was missing something compared to the original.
