I have a 50 litre BM and am wondering does anyone know the minimum batch size you can make ie the minimum amount of wort required to cover the elements during the boil NOT the minimum required to complete the circuit during the mash.
I want to make a small (15 litre ish) batch of beer to be bottled and stored for 6 months or more .I normally brew 23 litres batch but this would require 6.54 kilos grain in the short malt pipe which is pushing it a bit I think.

6,54 kg in a BM20 pipe is doable, i've done it several times.
To make sure you get a good efficiency you'll have to stir the malt several times.
