Power interruption

Unread postby Batz » Wed Nov 26, 2014 4:30 am

If you are brewing as I was today and you have a power interruption, you should be able to resume brewing correct? The BM display came up with continue/abort, I of course picked continue.
From here the display read pump break but it would not start again, it just froze on pump break. I had to clear it and put in a new program as close to where I thought it was at the time. I have tried again while cleaning the BM by turning off the power and have the same result, freezes on pump break.

I'm sure this was not always the case.

From all I have read today on various forums and social media, it appears that today was not the best brew day you have had.....did you have a Jovial Monk watching over you mate?

I have emailed Speidel, I'll report what they have to say when I receive a reply.

I received a quick response from Speidel, they asked a couple of questions and wanted the model number etc. They seem to think this one is a bit puzzling , just my luck! :(

Oh well fingers crossed for a good outcome.

Well I brewed again today and during clean up I thought I'll make a small vid the send to Speidel to show this problem. Great news all works perfectly today.

I think my last brew day I should have stayed in bed.

I've had the power trip quite a few times when brewing due to an overloaded gang, but never had a problem.

Not sure if any of the trips were during the pump break though.

Glad to hear that it's working okay now.
Cheers
