Pump break

Is it normal to have a pump break during mashing?

Yes! This is probably to let the grain bed settle and by so reducing channelling.

Oh I thought something was out of order as I'm having pump breaks every 30 minutes or less.

In the manual it says why there are pump breaks and in which phases they occur

My pump has a rest every 10 minutes. :D
The worst thing that can happen if I die is that my wife will sell all my brewing equipment for what I told her I paid for it
