An Idiot Abroad (Burnt Out Element)

I was boiling water the day before Brew Day. Here's what happens when you think you've switched off the BM, but in fact you haven't, and it boils dry over night!

My order of a new element from Speidel was with me within 3 days. With the help of Nesto's instructions (here) I was able to replace the element quite easily. Thanks Nesto!

I have many more photo's of the disassembly and reassembly process if anyone is interested.

Lesson learnt. After you think you have switched off the BM, unplug it from the wall!
