Laundry Room Brewery

When we moved to hot, humid Florida, I got a Braumeister and moved my brewing indoors. But I was only allocated a corner of the laundry to be my brewery so I had to be space efficient. After a couple of years of optimizing equipment and processes I am pretty comfortable brewing in just a few square feet. Using shelving racks to go vertical helps (cooler on top of water chiller, storage on top of small fridge - out of the picture). Turns out the tops of the washer and dryer make a great brewday work surface for equipment, notes, ingredients, etc. And of course the laundry sink is indispensable. I just can't brew or keg on Mondays...

Nice one. Is that a BM plus, therefore no immersion chiller?

No that is a regular BM 20L. I have an auto windshield sunscreen wrapped around it for insulation. The tap water here is quite warm in the summer so cooling the wort is a challenge; and I use a heavy duty immersion chiller.

Sounds about the same here in Sydney. Summer can reach 33c (90F) here. I opted for a DIY fridge glycol chiller, instead of an esky.

No, it is an Ikea Blanda bowl which so many suggested on this forum. I have no doubt it helps maintain a vigorous boil; but it greatest value is as a funnel for mashing in grains.
