Kegerator

This is the place to brag about your brewhouse set-up. Pictures are greatly appreciated!

[quote="Onthebrew" I’d be drilling 4 one inch holes in the corny fridge. Given my DIY skills pretty much only extend to putting up a few curtail rails, how easy a job is it? Seems easy enough, what should I be wary of?

The fridge is only a year old and was bought new, hence my wife’s misgivings( that and my suspect diy skills)[/quote]

If you are drilling through the front (door/s) you should be okay-however if you are going through the sides of the fridge (and some people do )-
The only thing you have to wary of is some manufacturers may run the fridge pipework buried inside the insulation! I once went to a job many moons ago when I was on the road as a commercial fridge engineer where someone had drilled through the left hand side of a Zanussi fridge (to fit a padlock + hasp yes, I wondered why as well :? ) and drilled through the compressor discharge pipe that ran through the insulation and then into the traditional condenser on the rear of the fridge! They then didn't want the fridge anymore so I took it home, cut a hole in the side of the fridge where they had drilled into it and brazed up the pipework and repaired it, vacced it out and re-charged it and it lasted a good 15 years before it died.

MB probably has the best kegerator in Nairobi!

You refill your Co2 from the same place where you get the malts I presume?
