This is the place to brag about your brewhouse set-up. Pictures are greatly appreciated!

MY NEW BREWHOUSE, WINERY AND TASTING CAVE

Unread postby rmklaw » Tue Mar 29, 2016 5:38 am

After months of planning and building, my new brewhouse, wine-making and tasting building are done. I started with a Tuff-shed 9x13 Tall Pro Elite. Put insulation, paint, wood floor and electric (110v and 240v). The ductless mini-split AC unit is finally installed and running.

Finally I can have everything in one place instead of using garage, closet, hallways, etc. My wife is happy.  :D

Thanks for the comments. Work in progress. Mashy, all the grain is stored in containers on the left side shelves. The empty kegs are behind the conical and the full kegs are in my kegerator being enjoyed  :beerbang:

Thanks. Got tired of moving from garage brewing to closet fermenting to family room kegging and garage fridge aging. Now it is all in one place except the fridge.

Here is the latest setup. I updated some of the equipment. For beer brewing I use the BM20, SS Brewtech Chronical fermenter, Blichmann Cornical fermenter/keg, SS Brewtech 15gal BIAB setup with Blichmannn burners. Both fermenter have electric heating and cooling coils plumbed to an ice cooler.

For wort transfer, chilling and whirlpooling, I use the Blichmann Riptide pump, Therminator plate chiller and Wort strainer; all with quick disconnects. You can tell I like toys.

For winemaking I use the Blichmann wine easy fermenter/vacuum press for Reds and the Cornical for Whites and Rose. The stuff on the table above the refrigerator is the chemistry testing equipment, etc.
