Fermentation Fridge.

This is the place to brag about your brewhouse set-up. Pictures are greatly appreciated!

I just use a 40watt ceramic reptile heater in my bar fridge and it works fine.

I ferment in a stainless 50lt keg using one of BrewersHardware's sanke fermenting kits......https://www.brewershardware.com/America ... owell.html
I run my fermenting fridge with the modded STC1000+ which is arguably the best mod in home brewing this decade.
Set & forget from day 1. Hold temperatures, temperature ramps, D-rest's & cold crashes without going anywhere near the controller = AWESOME!

Same here, been using the same heater for over 8 years now. That's value for little money :)

I have a fridge, stc and an aquarium heater tube. Tube is 60 watts and cost 10 quid on eBay.

Set up works perfectly
First time I've been interviewed for a brewing podcast - was terrifying.

Do you use it in the beer or just hanging in the fridge?
I use this with stc1000+ firmware.

I use a flexible 50W reptile heat cable taped around the inside of the fridge. It's been working nonstop for about 18 months and does a great job. Costs a little more than the little tube heaters, but I was going through them like cheap light bulbs.

Well there seems to be a number of ways to make and run a brew fridge....I like all of them. I now have a 2nd larder fridge so that I can have 2 brews on the go.

Hi,

Just ordered a 20L BM. Could someone please advise me on a fermentation fridge/fermentation vessel combination that works? I understand the concept/management of the same. More interested in the physical sizes etc.

Thank you,

MBC

The standard larder fridge in the UK...will hold a 25lts FV....a fridge with an ice box does not have the head room. Having lived in France for 5 years your fridge's should be about the same size, if I remember correctly. :)

Please upgrade that glass shelf, I really wouldn't trust it to hold that much weight.
