DIY hood find

I have been looking for something I can make into a hood for my 20l and found this at an antique sale for $10! It is an aluminum industrial lamp shade(used). Can't wait to paint it, and am thinking firehouse red would look cool, thoughts?

Wow, do you think the Braumeister will become a design icon, like Eriba caravans, VW campers, Swiss Army knives, Sinclair C5 etc.
To brew or not to brew, that would be a stupid question !

Now that you mention it, there is an r2d2 look about it!

After I scrubbed it prior to painting, a Century logo came out, pretty neat! Now I'm not sure I want to paint over it.

I did a trial boil to see how it performed, and the boil was perfect!

Here is the finished 'steam punk' hood, added two black handles to help handle it, I think it turned out nicely!!!
