"hacking" the control unit

Unread postby Hauglia » Mon Sep 29, 2014 12:08 pm

Has anyone tried to make adjustments in the control unit?

Think it would be great to change the following;

•Delayed start. So that it can turn itself on when I'm at work or sleeping
•Sound on/off
•Change the options in "Abort?" to something more meaningfull than "Cancel" and "Quit"
•Show remaining time to next hop, instead of end of boiling
•Replace"brewing completed cheers", with "cool down worth" and an alarm signal when worth is cool enough for the fermentation wessel.
•If P is pressed while in the middle of a program, "resume" pops up in the display. Then the P bottom han turn the pumps on and off manually until you press H/Start to continue the program.
..and probably more

Someone contacted Speidel re the delayed start and they said they would not do it due to safety reasons.

I am generally happy with the basic programming, however I would like a few more boil timer additions for Brewbrite, Yeast nutrient additions etc and to be able to continue the timer after the boil has ended would be great for steeping hops prior to chilling.

Maybe Speidel do read this forum at times.... :?:
