I had my first brew using this setup.

It went smoothly, more than what I had expected.

However, it was boiling at 95 degree. Is that normal? The reading of the analog dial thermometer was also somewhere around 95, so I am sure it's not an issue of my controller or the sensor.

Boiling point is affected by altitude. 100c is at mean sea level. Higher up = Lower boiling point.

I think if you check you local height above, it will add up.

I am sure the altitude is under 100m.
I've brewed with other equipments, too.
