Pump V this new device

Unread postby desupero » Fri Jul 27, 2018 9:12 am

I am looking at getting an SSBretech Chronical Fermentor but was reluctant because of getting the wort to the fermentor from the Braumeister (was thinking of a pump). But this takes the existing pump and does the same. I am wondering what benefit there would be between this device and a pump.

I made one of these, the one big advantage is no more lifting the fermenter from the floor anymore.
Some people are worried about trub but I have never had a problem with a bit of trub in the fermenter.
I use a submersible to go to the secondary as well.

LOL.

Gandalf made a good job of one of these - easily made with copper fittings.

This is what I did.. A smidge more involved - but I can reverse sparge and wash up with this mod....never lifting the BM.

I bet the Speidel does look like it has one of their infamous piss faster taps.

Do you have the dimensions. I'm away offshore working at the moment and can probably find the necessary stainless but havn't got the measurements. Are you relying on a metal to metal seal with the ferrule or do you have an "O" ring on the bottom.
