Removing Brand Label Sticker?

Unread postby roomfullofmirrors » Tue Jun 12, 2018 12:30 pm

Has anyone successfully removed the Braumeister Label off their vessel?
Mine is a bit scratched up and TBH, I think it's a bit outdated too.

I covered mine in a thermal collar - haven't seen it in years.

Not an extra i guess you guys need in Queensland. LOL

I have start with STP 'brake parts cleaner' or high % vodka?

Thanks for those ideas, mashy. I do use an insulated jacket on my Braumeister purely for energy efficiency. It's a foam yoga mat that I cut to fit. Works great, too!
BYW it's our "Winter" here at the moment and the weather should be a chilly 28 deg C today. Brrrrrrrr!!!

Probably similar to words I use when it's 40+ in the middle of our summer!

Okay. So I just had a go at removing the label. It was difficult to lift the edge at first, but once I did I was able to remove the entire label in one piece!
A little rub with some ethyl alcohol and it was job done :drink:

The ol’ 50 looks a bit naked now, I must confess

I've noticed that quite a few photo's on the forum are 90 degrees removed from their (presumably) intended orientation. I was having the same problem, but have found a solution.

This is for photo's uploaded from a Mac, and mine were taken on an iPhone. Not sure if this will work for other combinations.

On the Mac, open the photo in 'Preview' (default).
From the 'Tools' menu, click 'Rotate Left'.
From the 'Tools' menu, click 'Rotate Right'.
From the 'File' menu, click 'Save'.

Upload the photo. It should now be correctly orientated.

MBC :)
