Using the BM pump, which is not high pressure I was hoping they break up the wort flow, but not atomize it.

Thoughts?

Sprinklers need about 7psi to work properly, I the think the pump can run @ 8psi without backing up the rotor, so I don't see a problem

I bought a CIP ball for my FV, and my solar pump (https://www.brewbuilder.co.uk/mini-pump.html) doesn't deliver enough pressure to spin it properly. I think you'll probably have the same problem here, but it's worth a try.

I disagree with you on this one. I don't know if you realise that the BM pump operates at a full 1/2" bore and because the it's a magnetic drive pump @ 240v x 6W it should (in theory) handle it without a problem due to its high torque.

The pump you listed is the same type I used to use for sparging and is a 12v impeller pump powered by a 1 amp phone transformer and doesn't develop anywhere near same torque.

I hope you're right

specs I've found online:

BM pump - 1.25m head, 640L/hr, 10 bar pressure

Solar pump - 3 metre head, 6.5 L/Min = 390 L/hour, 10Bar max

So the BM pump can shift ~ 60% more water through the CIP or atomiser than the solar pump - no idea if that would be enough.

I have considered the spray balls - mainly for cleaning. I think they risk bunging up.

The spiral might be 'just enough'

The CIP ball works great with my flood pump

Image

this is shifting 10,000 l/h.

I'll see how it works with the FV, and I'll make a fake lid with a hole for the CIP for the BM, and then if it's ok I'll mod the BM lid with a 1.5" TriClamp bulkhead to accept the CIP ball, it will have to be off-centre due to the central rod for the malt pipe . I checked that if I mess it up it's possible to get placement lids for 20euro. I'll also have to mod for the bottom drain valve too.

With a pump like that you should be able to supply the National Grid

I fear this is a little excessive.

Waiting for these to arrive.

For 99p I couldn't resist. I am pretty sure I will find a good match to make the BM pump, aerate when transferring to FV.
