Pump mod

Added a 3 way ball valve after the left pump. Switch on the left auto or manual.

Got some details around the build out (valve size, additional parts, etc.)?

1 3 way ball valve 1/2"
1 Stainless steel threaded nipple 1 inch long-1/2"
1 Stainless steel threaded pipe 100mm long
1 small electric switch 240V 3 pin 1-2
I had to file of 2-3mm on the ball valve to make the pump come close enough.
Disconnected the brown lead going to the left pump, extended it and soldered to the switch. Used a cable shoe to get the black live wire to the switch and a new wire from the switch back to the pump connector. Now I can select manual or auto.

Can you be a sport and link your fittings and such. Planning on a similar fix later on. Decided to keep my machine after all and need this fix for cleaning my heavy 50liter. I think I got the most parts from another thread but would be perfect to double check this

Am I correct in thinking that a single pump 20 litre model doesn't need the electrical work?

That's right. You can use manual mode on your BM and control the pump.

Sanded, this is one of the greatest mods for a Braumeister 50L I have seen! Thanks so much for posting. I’m about to embark on a similar mod for my brewery, but I wanted to hear from you how well this mod is working for you?
Any regrets, or unforeseen problems?
Is there anything new you have discovered to do using the pumps?
Finally, do you have any tips for me?

Really looking forward to your reply, thanks again for posting
