Has anyone been able to install these eyelets themselves? I remember a while back someone suggested using marine grade stainless steel eyelets, but im not sure if they were able to do it.

Getting tired of sponges getting ripped to shreds and having to remove bits of it from the centre hole. The BAC perforated ones are good, but it hasn't solved this problem.

Finally got around to taking some pics. These came in on Saturday and was able to use them on Sunday during a SMaSH brew. Worked perfectly! Glad I picked up 2 sets.

Looks great - my filters are beginning to unravel so it won't be long before I order a set.

What size did you go for in the end "official" 265mm, 266, or push to 267? It would be good to get a nice tight fit, but if I remember correctly they quote +/-1mm manufacturing tolerance, so I don't want to chance it being too big.

I have a 20L BM and here are the specs I used:
Mesh: 20
Diameter: 267mm
Center: 17/32 mm
Perimeter: 6mm SS bar

I went with the 267 based on other posts and am glad I did. Snug fit and no grain in wort post mash and no fountains. Airmail from across the pond was a little pricey, but these should last a LONG time.

I think I am going to order these. I notice there are a few different variations but these specs the best to follow?

Those specs have worked great for me. Nice tight fit in the pipe. Mesh is similar to original mesh screen that came with BM. Center eyelet and parameter bar are sturdy and give the impression that they will last.

Mine are on the way. Just out of interest how does the mesh compare to the originals? Finer, the same or causer?
