Been watching this thread for some time, thanks to all who've contributed. Like so many others I don't like the originals or those from Bac Brewing which imho are too fine and the pump certainly has to work harder. Ordered with Prezell Brewings dimensions (thank you) and have to say these are the business, well made and the finish is superb, should last for years.

Happy to hear this! I can't take any credit for the dimensions. I just followed the advice of others in this thread.

I have also been watching this thread for a long time. Finally ordered a pair from Inoxia. 20 mesh, 267mm 0D, 17mm eyelet. Thanks for all the help and info I am very pleased, they have just arrived, will try them on Monday.

Have now obtained two of these.
Leaves me with 2 Bacbrewing discs for a 20ltr if anyone is interested.

What size did you go for in the end "official" 265mm, 266, or push to 267? It would be good to get a nice tight fit, but if I remember correctly they quote +/-1mm manufacturing tolerance, so I don't want to chance it being too big.

I have a 20L BM and here are the specs I used:
Mesh: 20
Diameter: 267mm
Center: 17/32 mm
Perimeter: 6mm SS bar

I went with the 267 based on other posts and am glad I did. Snug fit and no grain in wort post mash and no fountains. Airmail from across the pond was a little pricey, but these should last a LONG time.

I think I am going to order these. I notice there are a few different variations but these specs the best to follow?

so used for first time yesterday and noticed quite a bit of grain got through and had my first mini fountain- nothing to serious just a spurt out the side but not enough nock the lid off. paused and stirred and was fine.

I still fancy the silicone seal around the top plate is the way to go.
