Posting Help???

Unread postby HopSong » Sun Aug 24, 2014 3:13 pm

I'm using an Apple computer.. I have NO idea if it's my browser that is the problem. However, on Braumeisters forum as well as one other forum that uses the same software, if I reply to a post in a forum (or create one) I have to totally exit the BM website to continue. If I don't, a pop-up asks me if I want to post the reply again to "go back" I guess that's the best way to describe it. I NEVER get this problem with other forums.

Any suggestions (other than smart aleck ones :) Is it a setting on my computer.. or is it an inherent problem with phpBB?

So, as you can see.. Two posts the same.

Here is the note I get from Safari.....

Could it be that you hit the back button of your browser instead of using the website navigation?

.I am on my I pad for this very post and when I hit submit it returns to the board index and then my post automatically appears at the bottom of the thread.
It might pay to just check all your settings......I am using Safari as well.

This is a screen shot of the screen that appears between the submit and the post appearing in the thread

This is a screen shot of the page as I am typing my post.

You may pick a clue from these shots.

I don't use Tapatalk..

But, I'm guessing there is a setting either in phpBB or Safari that might help. IIRC, I spoke to Apple support when I was reprimanded at BIABrewer for the same problem. Apple said it is a protection of some sort. That was a few years ago and I'm foggy on the details.

I guess I ought to call again.

Mate, I dont use Tapatalk either, I dislike it.

That tapatalk is an insignia that appears on all sites that have it available.
