For Sale: Braumeister 20L (2014) UK - Leicester

Unread postby pdc77 » Sun Dec 03, 2017 11:44 am

For sale is a 20L Braumeister, used 8-10 times and working perfectly.

Reason for sale is that I now have 2 young kids, and no spare time (+ hangovers and small children is less than ideal...)

Included are the following Speidel manufactured options
+ Thermocollar
+ Hop filter screen
+ Steel lid / collar / funnel thing
+ Wort chiller

£1200

NOT included for sale with this listing, but if you are interested in the below - please let me know
- BrewPi powered Kegerator to keep constant and programmed fermentation temperature - www.brewpi.com
- 2 Fermentation vessels
- Various cleaning accessories
- 64 Swing top 500ml bottles
- 84 metal cap 330ml bottles
- Milk bottle crates for the above bottles
-Tool to fit metal bottle caps onto bottles
- Brix Refractometer

I've made some great beers with this kit (Kegerator makes a HUGE difference to the quality of the beer), and be sad to see it go

Bank transfer or cash on collection only please

May potentially be able to deliver within 45 minutes of Leicester, or around parts of Surrey...

A very good buy then - unless you need flashing lights to improve the taste of your brew.
I will pass your details onto a mate (in all seriousness could not have done that whole heartedly with the new controller).

Thanks, send me a PM if they are interested

TBH, i don't really know what benefits the new controller has - but the mashing process is simple and easy to program with the controller in this device

Couldn't agree more.....Puts me off trying to sell my 2015 model conscience free for whatever price, comes complete with unnecessary lights, bells, whistles and Speidel's bonus ”Normal Physics Issue” aka., Controller Screen misting design fault.....A Curate’s Egg springs to mind.

Seems like I am the only person that does not have problems with misting. I do however prefer the old programmer.

No, I’ve never had misting problems either.

Keep mine in a spare room, dry dehumidified environment, also stored it in a cool dry garage where I brew, mists every brew (23 in 2 years), no mater where stored, spring, summer, autumn and winter, when it's really cold it mists a little more, earlier during mash. Controller never gets splashed brewing or cleaning so ingress is not an issue.

Mine has been stored in an unheated garage since new (over 2 years). I also brew in the garage. Not sure if it makes any difference but I have it wrapped in a camping mat for protection against knocks.

That's blown that one out of the water then.

I did wonder if it was caused large temp/humidity settings on brew day.
Example.. Stored in the cold garage and then brought in to the warm humid kitchen on brew day.

Mine is stored and used in an unheated brewery attached to the house. Minimum temp winter is 5°c maximum temp summer 24°c. I brew all year long with no misting.

Edit I just remembered that it shows 50 litre as my BM but that is an old model. Here I am talking about my other one which is a 20 litre with the new controller.
