You can join a group by going the the group tab at the top menu (two people at the top), selecting group, and then clicking "Join Group" at the bottom left. Then just enter the code and you are in the group. ...
I will also start to list the student created groups. Just send me the name of the group and code or list the code and name below in the comments below. Example - Caribbean Brewers - abc123DE45

Some of the student generated Groups:

HomeBrewTalk - s5yrUMqbKYa
Redditors - gZfSxFHSM1w

I created a group for us Braumeisters called... Braumeisters. Code is "Rxyfafx8Srr" to join

I'm enjoying a St. Bernardus Extra 4 while watching the videos of the first lesson. Which university would allow drinking beer during class?

I've signed up too. Name: Commantini.
I just don't underdstand the open course thing... The entire 8 week course is open, for free? Just not getting the créditos from the University?

Exactly! You only pay if you want credits. There are a few online sites like this. I'm also taking a class at coursera.org, which has signed up many large universities. Same deal. You pay if you want credits.

No college credits, but if you pass the final test you get an online batch that you are allowed to use. Check outImage's brewery website. Really cool.

The quizz for Unit 1 is available as of today. I had one question flagged as incorrect of which I am sure I provided the correct answer. I left a comment for the reviewer.
I would advice to review all the incorrect answers (if you have any of course) and verify with the course material provided. Leave comments to the quizz if you feel your score should be amended.

Focus on what you CAN do. Take the self assessment a see if you score enough points on the other topics if the hard-core chemistry is too much for now. I you like I can help wherever I can.

where do you see the vidoes?
There was one 1.5 min video with 2 brewers talking and absolutely no useful information.
I make my own copper/ss chillers (immersion) - 20l & 50l and counterflow (cfc)

They should be in the same section. Scroll down.
Indeed, all the videos with the brewers are waste of time.

For anyone needed a refresher (or short primer) on carbohydrate naming and stereochemistry, this is a pretty good one...

Don't want to break the code of conduct, but I bet I had the same one marked incorrect. Also left a comment. Boy, if only college had been all open book like this! All those formulas I had to memorize :geek:
