BM 50 - 40 liter batch light beer

Hi

I am new to BM and would like to ask :
Is it possible to brew a 40 liters batch of lighter beer about 4,4 % alk on the BM 50 (?)
witch means using about only 7,8 kg of malt....
I have only the original maltpipe.
I guess it should not splash too much in the mashing process...

Yes it’s an ideal batch size, I brew for 2 x 20 litre kegs and 4.5% is my go-to strength, I usually overshot slightly on the numbers. Total volume is around 60litres and I end up with around 45-47 litres into the fermenter, which also gives me a few bottles to play with. If you aim for around 42 litres into fermentor then total vol would be around 55L.
To brew or not to brew, that would be a stupid question !
