1st Prize Porter

Any discussion about non-specific Braumeister brewing techniques can be discussed here. E.g. "How to make a starter?", "What's the best way to store my grains?", "Which pH meter do you recommend?", ...

1st Prize Porter

Unread postby BrauTim » Mon May 19, 2014 5:23 pm

At the weekend I won first prize in a homebrew competition at a homebrew festival, for a Porter I brewed almost a year ago, unfortunately there's only one bottle left now!

It was my first Porter and only my 2nd AG brew and was brewed on my 3v HERMS setup, I can remember plenty of mistakes with the mash temperature, but it turned out alright beating around 17 others in the category.

:beerbang:
To brew or not to brew, that would be a stupid question !

Brilliant BrauTim! Imagine how you are going to kill the opposition now with your BM50.

Yes, and this time it will be with 50 litres of Porter to see me through the Winter and have some left for the competition and beyond (hopefully)!
