What I miss the most is the possibility to take a vacation shortly after I take one.

I am going to California in Jan to explore the Cali craft beer scene, so after that only in 2016 haha

Hey leo.. Let me know when you plan on being in Calif... and, if you plan on touring N. Calif. It's really a MUST. We have Russian River, Lagunitas, Bear Republic to name a few in my immediate area.

Hi Bill,

I am travelling in about 10 days, below my schedule:
LA from 12/31 to 01/03
LV from 01/03 to 01/06
SF from 01/07 to 01/12
HWY 1 from 01/12 to 01/16
LA again from 01/16 to 01/20(I will go to San Diego on 01/19)
Big Bear from 01/20 to 01/24

Then I return to Brazil.

I plan to visit the following breweries: Anchor, Firestone Walter, Ballast Point and Stone Brewing. Plus a bunch of bars and brew pubs.

I would love to go to the ones you mentioned but I will not go that far north :/ had to concile my interests with my GF hehe

But considering my itinerary do you have any recommendation?

In SF area, 3 I've been told are good breweries to visit (but haven't been able to myself) are Rare Barrel, Drakes and Heretic. Beer bars: Toronado, Monks Kettle, The Trappist, The Hop Grenade (close to me).

Thanks Nesto, I´ve heard about those breweries but I think I won´t have enough time to go to them as they are a little bit far from the center of SF.

the beer bars I have toronado and monks kettle on my list ;)

Well then you should certainly try to visit Anchor Brewing. Here's a full list in and around SF: http://www.beeradvocate.com/place/city/17/
