A Night Out in Brussels

Unread postby niels » Fri Dec 19, 2014 12:16 am

I'm a night out with the colleagues in Bruusels. So I tried to get us at least to a bar like Moeder Lambic, but we ended up at some some stupid bar close to the Grote Market/ La Grande Place. My colleagues thinks
this is great as they have more than 5 beers on the menu...

I don't think so...

I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago when we were there. Then I found the "Little delirium cafe" which is almost on the grand place. http://littledeliriumcafe.com/
They had so many beers on tap and were open until very late. It was quite fun actually as the music was good etc.. even if it was not very traditionally Belgian :-)

I was at Moeder Lambic Fontainas last night! You should've used violence.

You are on a night out in Brussels and have the time to post a sober message on here ?! Anyway, I hope it was a good one and you are suitably hungover this morning :D
To brew or not to brew, that would be a stupid question !

I hate alcohol! ;)

I left the restaurant in good shape, but it seems that whiskey needs some time to take effect. After two beers at the café I still felt fine, but I decided to switch over to water so I would end up drunk. But it was too late... About half an hour later I ended up with "een stuk in mijne frak" (a.k.a. I was drunk). I failed miserably.

Lesson learned: stay with beer and wine when going out with colleagues. And only drink whiskey if you're sitting next to the fire with a cigar. :)
