Smartphones / Tablets

Unread postby niels » Mon Aug 11, 2014 6:10 pm

I was just wondering about the use of smartphones and/or tablets amongst us. I do own a few devices, but that has mostly to do with my profession.

My main phone and tablet are running Android, but my girlfriend inherited my previous devices which both run iOS. I personally prefer Android, but some of the apps on iOS beat their Android counterparts.

Sony Xperia Z2 phone, Samsung galaxy tab, MacBook Air (running Linux) long time Linux developer so ios is not an option :-)

Xperia Z2 camera is amazing and the handset is dust and waterproof (1m 30min) perfect when on diving trips and smashing water in my brew cave..

iPhone 5
MacBook Pro retina
MacBook Pro from 2008
Large iPad (little used)
Mini ipad (well used)
MacBook Air now used by my wife

I was windows until 2008 and then went apple and haven't looked back, nothing goes wrong and now I've got my wife onto apple I don't waste time fixing anything that runs windows anymore, I hardly have to reboot machines and computer life in General is much more shiny and appealing :-)

There is one major downside to Apple machines - because they don't go wrong or out of date there is a very long time between needing to upgrade machines and I keep looking at their new shiney wanting it!
To brew or not to brew, that would be a stupid question !
