Still no news about the WiFi module, but I suspect more info will be available during BrewPlus. Speidel will have a booth on the exhibition.

Am I correct that the only stated feature so far is monitoring?
If so, you could do the same right now with a WiFi cam. :)

Come on now. More information. I got information from a "friend" who got It. I am not impressed so far.. But I dont know if its possible to start up the braumeister from work or not. Seems it works as a play, pause, stop, monitor unit.. Right?

thats is what i understand from the English manual. You can pick and start a recipe. and you can stop remotely. hopefully i will have one soon as well.

I can't see the point of that's all it does, surely you need to be stood in front of the thing to tip the grain in / lift the grain out, add hops etc.. Remote control seems pointless to me.

Well i tend to brew in my shed whilst working inhouse behind a computer. it saves me walking up&down to the shed to find all is fine. possibly with some scripting it would be able to create brewing temperature graphs

and possibly to start recipe to start heating when i wake up

I've seen the module in action. It has mainly monitoring capabilities with some basic controlling options. This is all done via webapp.

The module is available for order, but I didn't stock any yet. When my next Speidel shipment comes in it will be part of it. It's priced around 100 € excl. VAT.

if anyone wants to update the firmware through the wifi module be sure that the COM port that will be installed on your computer is enumerated in the range COM1-COM8. Otherwise the update will fail.
