yah.. it's in Frankfurt right now.. but, while I'm retired, I work for the elections when they happen. November is a big election in the US.. I'm currently working 12 hour days until we get ballots in the mail. Then free until the votes start coming in... then very busy again. So.. I don't have time to concentrate on the BM at the moment :)

Well, I think I now know the status of my BM.. stuck in US Customs for a few days. Must be a huge backlog of imports. I wonder if they think the BM is some sort of Meth cooker :) ? It appears it was released from customs today and HOP FULLY.. yah I know :) , it will be here in the next day or two. FedEx promised (?) next day delivery once released.. Getting excited.

Yep, I'll be lonesome.. my wife is headed off to Germany for 2+ weeks. I should be able to grind out one small 10 liter batch :)
I'm wanting to brew a Robust Porter. I'm trying to get the recipe together right now. However, I MAY just use some O-L-D grains that I have sitting around and just make something.. Just to get some of the process down.

The brew I would like to try is called Edmond Fitzgerald Porter. I think I have the grains down.. but, now looking to get the hop schedule and boil time.. I'm considering the 90 min mash and 90 min boil.

It is now in customs being processed.. I guess that's different from just being at customs. FedEx said it would be delivered the next business day. Promises.. promises.. :)

Either Aug 19 or 20.. not sure....

It's been released from customs.. HOPEFULLY it is actually in transit.. it's late now on the west coast.. I'll see what the tracker says in the morning...

I think MoreBeer in CA actually has them in stock..

This is getting worse by the minute. hour.. day.. OhBoy.

Both packages are in the states. The one containing the accessories (Lid, chiller, etc) are here in my hometown. The BM itself is being hung up in Customs. Been there for days. I can't believe it. Fed Ex can't do anything about it. Crazy bureaucracy. Wonder if they think it's an illegal still or ???

UhOh, maybe they are busy calculating the taxes you were hoping to avoid by ordering direct? I t worked for me though. I saved a lot of tax money by ordering from More Beer rather than the Canadian supplier.
I wasn't planning on going for a run today but those cops came from nowhere!

Picked up what I could before FedEx returned it to the supplier. They don't like to keep packages in the store very long. Anyhow, I now have the thermal wrap, chiller, short malt pipe and a beautiful copper hood. They all arrived safely. First class pieces. Yah, I splurged for the copper.

I'm currently not sure how to hook up the chiller tho. It almost looks like a ball lock on a corny keg.
