replacing controls unit

I hopefully will be ordering a 20l unit with the short malt pipe very soon. I was wondering if anyone has considered changing the controller with the new grainfather unit if problems arise with the controller, I know that this would mean connecting to the Braumeister remotely, all this would require is extending all the cables and temp probe from what I can see. The reason that I ask this is due to the continuing issue with these controllers and the condensation problems. I was just wondering if this was feasible should the need arise and what do others think what issues there may be. The grainfather unit seems ok from what I have read and a lot cheaper than the Braumeister controller.. Sorry if this sounds a silly question. Thanks

Look at the ALVA controller. Would be a better fit than a GF imo.
