I have an older model, the pumps were different back then and they have no dial.

Several brews ago I had a problem, the display just flashed I freaked a bit and turned it off straight away. I contacted Speidel and turned it on again to take a small vid. after it was on for a bit it came good again by itself. Speidel tell me it would be a capacitor, after two years they did not offer to fix it free of charge, fair enough I guess. Anyway it's working fine again now, but I expect it will die one day soon.

I'll attach the vid but the site will not allow this.

Couple of Questions before I Buy

How much would it be to replace that capacitor did they say? Two years isn't that old especially for the price of the machine doesn't EU law say a product must last a reasonable amount of time 2 years for £1200 is quite reasonable I would say

Last time I brewed I looked for this dial, but don't seem to have one on my pump.

Newer versions of the Braumeister have a different pump without the dial.

It appears by the posts above that Speidel have changed the pumps a few times on their BM's

Batz,

Have you looked at how this can be repaired if it does fail?

Do you have to send the control box back to Germany for repair?

Do Speidel sell a replacement control box?
Cheers

I could sent the box back to Germany, they will repair it and update the software. They also sent me some pictures of the offending capacitor so I could have it replaced in Australia.
As I said it's working fine ATM, I also notice I'm not the first one in Australia this has happened too.

I did sort of expect Speidel to come to the party and fix this for me.

Did they say how much they would charge for repair?
