I haven’t brewed for 12 months, so another 3-4 weeks won’t be a problem. I have bought a couple of FWK from the brew shop and they have turned out to be a quality product.

I think you mean 1984 mashy. :) :(
Saw it at the pictures as a kid & it scared the crappers out of me.

Very new to this forum as you know & was considering getting the Wi-Fi Module included in my purchase of a 20-litre Original next week but being so computer illiterate (Coding etc, etc) I am rapidly losing any enthusiasm I once had for the Wi-Fi option.
I take it there is no other way to update the Braumeister firmware other than via the Wi-Fi?
Am I able to request the retailer to update the firmware before I pay the dollars & is he compelled to do his?
Twas TidalPete from UptheCoast who caught the all-grain craze,
He turned aside the staid XXXX that served him many days.

With apologies to A.B. 'Banjo' Paterson.

I still have the “loan” unit, and I haven’t heard anything back from Spiedel via the Oz distributor. I think this one is mine to keep?

It does create the perfect storm. You have to pay for the unit and get updates.
I remember the old days when you purchased something and it worked!! It didn't need updates, 'cos they got it right first time.
