Mmm ... just read the manual. Doesn't give much away as to what it can do apart from monitor.

Would be good to write recipes with it...any more input as to what can be done???

I think it stated that you can start the program or when in manual mode stop and start pump and heater, not bad for first up?

I think the plan is to maybe connect with some program like Brewtarget, BeerSmith etc. so you can transfer the settings like mashprofile, time for hops etc. form the computer/ipad to BM direct.

I've just shipped out the first WiFi units to customers and I hope to get some feedback soon.

When I saw it in action on an exhibition a few weeks ago, you could monitor and pause/resume the brewing process. That's mainly it for now.

On multiple occasions I've asked if Speidel is planning on providing a public API for the device, but there are no such plans for the near future.

I installed 1.1.23 at the weekend using the shiny new wifi module. I really don't think this version was well tested, or is ready for public release. The lag time between pressing any button on the controller - (the Braumeister controller itself, not the web app), and the resulting action, is now in the region of 10 to 15s. My guess is that the software is now polling for wifi constantly on the main UI thread which is causing the whole thing to lock up. My brew area is in the shed, right on the edge of wifi coverage, but my phone and Sonos work there without problems.

Wish I hadn't upgraded now - is there any way to go back to older firmware? :(

Hi,

I did the firmware update,so far i don't experience any lag.
But the wifi range is something else.
My braumeister is +- 12 meter away from the router with some obstructions, where my phone and laptop has a good connection the BM is unable to connect,....
There is a lot of room for software improvement, such as recipe "edit" is not available on smartphone/laptop,...

kind regads,
