Alevägens Bryggeri (Brew Logs)..

Hi all.
Just wanted to start this thread for my own convenience .. Will post my brewdays and such here..
Couple of settings.
Bm 50..
Boil lenght 90min always..
Boil off 3.5l/h (6-10c air temp, hood and isolation 6,7% hour)
Grain absorbation 0.6000 (Still in progress, changes from 0,5800 to 0,6100..
Im going for 0.5800 next time and we will see.
Full volume mash always..
70-93% mash efficiency 1.2-1.4mm crush.
75-80 with 1040-1050 OG beers.. (Usually 2 hours mash)
Lower efficiency with 11-13kg grain when doing 40liter in FV..
Highest with overnight mash..

Thank you. It's a work in progress, will get another room next door for milling, fermenting and storing all grain/none frost proof things.. But its a lot of work to get there.. Time will tell..
I would not care to use the aromatic, but my special B went bye bye..
Its on kegs now, will try them in a week. Needed the yeast cakes to drop my dubbel on..

Hi judgecc

I'm assuming from the description you have 20litres in each fermenter if so have you re enforced those fridge shelves in any way to take that much weight ? I'd not thought before about using the shelves as assumed they'd just bend and fail

Using 2 shelves with wood between them if one should break.. But I never had any issues with either of my fridges.. I usually have 24liters in each.. Low amount now, because of Belgian yeast strains. Had to clean chimay yeast 4 times in one night even with 20liters,blow off tube on that one always from now on..

Belgian pale was just dough in at 20c.
Rise to 66c for 90minutes.
Mashout at 78c 15minutes..
I'll see if I can upload my tripel, dubbel, dark strong, saison profiles..
