80 shilling brewday

Unread postby eli.donald » Sun Nov 15, 2015 7:58 am

We'll today is my first brewday with the short malt pipe.

The club competition in January has an 80 category so giving that a try. I'm not an 80 drinker so this is a bit nerve wracking but I'm hoping the smaller brews will let me have two attempts today.

The first is a standard clone recipe of Belhaven 80. That's my safe choice. The second is my attempt at making something to my tastes (which I think will probably be way off style), I like full bodied and full of Munich lol

So water has just gone on for batch one.... Here goes.

And fist thing I notice, time to dough in before I finished typing this...
First time I've been interviewed for a brewing podcast - was terrifying.
No laughing at me!
