New BM owner in New Gisborne Australia

Unread postby Raggi76 » Wed Jan 28, 2015 10:44 am

Hi Guys,
Long time reader, first time poster.
After months of reading, I bit the bullet today and bought a 20l BM.
First brew will be a simple golden ale on the weekend
It will also be my first foray into all grain brewing as well.
Can't wait

Welcome to team Braumeister. Is New Gisborne in Vic? I hope the Golden Ale goes well. It's very exciting the first time!

Welcome Raggi 76

You will enjoy your BM.
Good luck with your first Ag and BM brew.

Tried to add myself but there is no tab menu for the marker under search. Might be a setting. I'll keep looking for it

Raggi,

I didn't have that tab on my Ipad but it was there when I used my desktop?????

That may or may not help.

Well first Brew completed. I can see myself having a lot of fun with this.
A few rookie mistakes, like leaving both fine mesh guards at the bottom of the mash. Oops.
Apart from that and the new plate chiller from Keg King leaking, it went pretty good.
Simple American Golden ale with Maris Otter, with some medium and dark crystal, munich, and cascade and centennial hops
Got 78% efficiency and 22l into the fermenter, so pretty happy with that for the first brew.
Now the waiting before the drinking begins...........

Sounds like you did well for your maiden brew.

I hope KK will replace the chiller. :?
