Re: Hi from SE Qld (Australia)

Hi Roger, Your name is familiar from ACB. I take it that you are intending the pumped outlet mod. I've often thought about it, but my Brau sits on the brewstand from my old 3 vessel system (which I haven't had the courage to sell off). There is a March pump on the stand ,so I use that if required. I...

Re: Wash pump.

Mashy,

They have them here https://www.craftbrewer.com.au/siphon-s ... rt-aerator. Only problem is that it's on the other side of the planet.

If you can't get them locally I could assist you.

Re: Pump Cleaning

talking of blockages - think i may have one in the gas tube in a keg- what works best here given how long it is? I think you are mistaken. The gas tube is very short. The product out tube is the long one. In any case, something along the lines of what I have linked here, should do the job:- https:/...

Re: Steriliser and cleaner

Whaaaat haaave you started LOL. The question should be what are you sterilizing - different things benefit from different approaches. Different peeps use different things 'cos they have / can get easily. Don't confuse washing, sanitizing ans sterilizing? I would not put a acid cleaner in BM, and I ...

Re: Steriliser and cleaner

Through one of my suppliers at work I can purchase Milton sterilising fluid 5 litre for £12 incl vat, their website states its ok for homebrew purposes anyone tried it please. Done the maths and it works out at 30 pence for a 5 gallon container. It contains sodium hypochlorite ie bleach. I doubt wh...

You might might get a couple of points, but really....it's just a few pence of extra grain.
Exactly, that’s the reason I don’t even bother to sparge.

Re: Plate chiller

Thanx Wally ....after "posting" I went straight to the Braumeister website ...all explained..... The video states the wort is pumped straight to the fermenter , I guess the logic is to pump wort through the chiller>fermenter to save time ..... Only grey area issue is we don't want the protein to be...

Re: G'day from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia

Sorry Pete, no 10 litre. I started with a 50 litre, but a 20 and 50 litre came on to the market 2nd hand. I grabbed them both at a good price and gave the 50 litre to my Son in law. I was going to sell the 20 litre, but it is quite versatile I’ve found, to be able to switch between both. It also all...

G'day from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia

Thanks for your welcoming posts, links, & general information Wally, mashy & Dicko. It’s a bit late to reconsider what I need for my stand as I’ve already bought the materials & am in the construction phase so to speak. :) Am building a brew-stand with room underneath for a counterflow chiller & pu...
