I used mango puree in cans from a local supermarket. No noticeable off flavours as far as I could tell!

Re: Milkshake IPA

I brewed a mango milkshake in the end using lager, wheat and munich malt along with flaked oats and lactose. Hops were amarillo, citra and mosaic. 2 cans of mango puree into the fermenter, should have put 3 I think. Still came out pretty well!

Re: Fault finding electrical problem. Failed element?

Another tip...make sure all the connections in plugs and sockets are ok. They do work loose believe it or not.
My BM 50 was giving a poor boil and I found the neutrals had burnt out in the consumer box where the cb's where located!!

Re: New Brew Controller

Nice, does it work well with the BM hardware or did it require significant tweaking? BTW There is actually already a way to push recipes in the beer.XML format to the BM, via MySpeidel and hopefully, with the incoming move to HTTPS, the ticket I have raised with the Brewfather brewing software has ...

New Brew Controller

Hi All Haven't been on for a while, but been brewing away quietly. I got fed up with having the old controller unable to import recipes etc. So built my own one using an arduino type processor with built in wifi and Brewmaniac software. The software is free and the author is very receptive to change...
